L-S-Who????

Yes, we are those obnoxious die-hard fans who will rub in the face of anyone who will listen that we are having an excellent season while SOME teams have a loss or two under their belt. We DO NOT cheer for Alabama when they are not playing Auburn, and we are almost just as happy when our rivals lose as when we win. It is wrong and poor sportsmanship, but what can I say, "I believe in Auburn, and love it!"

Now that's out of the way, here are some glorious pictures of our win against "The Hat" and his purple tigers.

Chief & John are Number 1!!

Corndog anyone?

As usual, John and Chief are on the same eating and napping schedule

Baby Tigers need their rest too

Thanks Chief for the AU Superman cape - Mommy has a feeling it will be worn everyday to preschool in a few years...

Touchdown Auburn!

Motherhood Whoas

The good, the bad and the crazies.

Ear infections are a bummer. Just because they make the medicine pink and smell like bubble gum does not make it any easier to inject into a screaming baby's mouth. The day I had been waiting for/dreading finally arrived last Sunday - I felt John's head like I neurotically do about 25 times a day and it was warm. I have been preparing for this for 6+ months, so I calmly and efficiently took John's temperature...5 times using 5 different tools. After scanning his head, using the pacifier thermometer, sticking another thermo under the arm and then two others in his little fanny (not at the same time, don't worry mom), I determined that John did in fact have fever, though actual temps were hard to figure out since you have to add or subtract degrees depending on which region you are checking. At this point John was very tired and just wanted to go back to sleep, so I shot him up with Infant Tylenol and put him in our bed. I then cracked open a Diet Coke, chugged it down in less than a minute, curled up next to my babe, placed my hand on his tummy to make sure he was breathing and stared at him for 3 hours until the sun came up. Protective Momma Bear in Action.

Poor little buddy

I am learning a lot of wonderful and very hard things as a mother. Every day John shows me that he is his own little person - so independent and dependent at the same time. Getting sick is just one of the many things he will do by himself. But I plan to always be right there with my hand on his stomach checking his breathing.

Happy 6th month birthday to my baby John! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. Since it's been so long since I've written (no excuses, just very little spare time in September), I thought I would share the latest pictures of my sweet boy so you can see for yourself how much he has grown. But first, here's a few things about John at 6 months:
